Service Field Tech - Power Systems Technicians or NETA Technicians are expected to perform service, test, and maintain various types of power transmission and distribution equipment. This role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, performing start-up, and collecting data for low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems up to 500kV. Key tasks include installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining protective relaying equipment, developing standardized procedures, performing functional testing of substation control circuits, creating relay macros, executing end-to-end relay testing, and reviewing relay settings. The position also covers testing and maintenance of switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and cable installations, as well as troubleshooting controls and transfer schemes. The role requires participation in emergency on-call duty and adherence to regulatory laws.
