About The Position

The Service Excellence Ambassador at OhioHealth plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals. This position is centered around creating a welcoming and supportive environment, ensuring that every interaction is handled with care and professionalism. Ambassadors are tasked with giving and collecting vital information regarding patients' locations, conditions, and treatment progress while maintaining strict confidentiality. They facilitate communication between patients, families, and hospital staff, acting as advocates for patients by addressing concerns and expediting admissions or other delays. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as Ambassadors are responsible for resolving complaints and escalating issues when necessary. Additionally, they respond to special needs, greet visitors, provide directions, and escort patients and families as needed, including assisting with wheelchairs. The position also involves managing multi-line phone systems, transferring calls to appropriate locations, and overseeing the cleanliness and order of information desks and lobbies. The Service Excellence Ambassador is essential in ensuring that the hospital environment is welcoming and efficient, contributing to the overall patient experience.
