Service Estimator/Dispatcher

PTR Baler and Compactor is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Estimator/Dispatcher to join our Service Department team due to our continued growth in the waste equipment industry. As a world leader in this sector, PTR Baler and Compactor is committed to helping companies achieve their green initiatives by reducing waste streams and increasing recycling efforts. We manufacture and service balers and compactors, providing essential parts and resources to our customers. The primary role of the Service Estimator/Dispatcher is to efficiently dispatch service orders to technicians and provide customers with accurate estimated repair costs for their approval. In this role, you will be responsible for providing detailed estimates that encompass all necessary components, including parts, labor, travel costs, rental fees, and any other expenses associated with the job. You will also be tasked with logistically scheduling and routing technicians to maximize efficiency. It is crucial to maintain an updated centralized system with accurate status codes, estimated times of arrival (ETA), call information, and memos. Once jobs are approved, you will schedule them for completion, ensuring that all required parts and rental equipment are available and that the appropriate technician or subcontractor is assigned. Additionally, you will gather information from the field regarding required repairs, upload written estimates for customer review to our centralized customer portal, and follow up on these estimates to secure customer approval. After job completion, you will provide the billing department with all necessary documentation. A key aspect of this position is to review and report on the comparison of actual versus estimated costs and profits, ensuring transparency and accuracy in our operations. Participation in an on-call rotation is also expected as part of this role.
