An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer for AE Civil fleet. As a Service Engineer - AE Civil Fleet, you will primarily provide engineering technical support for Rolls-Royce AE 3007 and AE 2100A gas turbine engines. This role will have occasional technical support for Rolls-Royce RB211-535 gas turbine engines such as answering day-to-day operational questions from customers, leading in-service engine event investigations, tracking and reporting fleet reliability both internally and externally, as well as supporting safety investigations. This opportunity may have some domestic and international travel (less than 10%) to engine maintenance centers and customer sites.

  • Organize and lead cross-functional teams consisting of internal design, failure analysis, and customer services personnel to achieve timely investigation and resolution of gas turbine engine hardware issues, including communicating status to customers.
  • Understand and monitor fleet reliability characteristics and coordinate with Service Engineering, Customer Managers, MRO Engineering, and airline customers to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in product level safety board reviews and in-service reviews with regulatory and airworthiness authorities.
  • Provide engineering support at overhaul facilities and customer sites as required and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies throughout the engine product lifecycle.
  • Initiate technical publications changes required to support Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines, including Service Bulletins, Maintenance and Fault Isolation Manual revisions.
  • Act as the Product Maturity lead for AE to monitor reliability targets and performance against those targets, as well as provide reliability content for internal and external reviews.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, OR Master's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering, OR JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and/or problem resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), project and time management skills.
  • Proficient at writing technical reports and customer presentations.
  • Adept with Teamcenter.
