About The Position

The Service & Engagement Team Leader at Target is responsible for enhancing the guest experience by leading a team of Guest Advocates and Front of Store Attendants. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service, managing team performance, and ensuring operational efficiency in both in-store and digital services. The Team Leader is empowered to create a welcoming environment, address guest concerns, and drive team engagement while supporting the overall sales goals of the store.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude.
• Effective communication skills.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
• Model, train and coach team members on expectations to deliver the service standard.
• Lead a team of passionate and knowledgeable Guest Advocates and Front of Store Attendants.
• Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on store sales goals and guest engagement.
• Support leading physical and digital offerings and Target Loyalty Programs.
• Engage in consistent, meaningful development conversations with team members.
• Quickly respond to any negative guest shopping experience by de-escalating the situation.
• Create intra-day workload optimization plans for your team.
• Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
• Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up Orders.
