About The Position

As a Service and Engagement Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for creating a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience. You will lead a team of Guest Advocates and Front of Store Attendants, ensuring they are trained to exceed guest service expectations. Your role will involve planning and executing daily workloads to meet sales goals, engaging in meaningful development conversations with team members, and utilizing guest feedback to drive improvements. You will also be responsible for managing team performance, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently and with a team.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Model, train and coach team members on expectations to deliver the service standard.
  • Lead a team of passionate and knowledgeable Guest Advocates and Front of Store Attendants.
  • Understand sales goals and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on store sales goals.
  • Support leading physical and digital offerings and Target Loyalty Programs.
  • Engage in consistent, meaningful development conversations with team members.
  • Utilize guest survey reporting tools to drive change in key areas.
  • Create intra-day workload optimization plans for your team.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up and Drive-up Orders.
  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
