SERVICE DRIVER
About The Position
Service Center Driver is responsible for facilitating the transport of electronics and appliances for 29 store locations in Central Florida. This position is expected to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction for the stores. Ability to safely operate a 14’ cube truck with hydraulic lift gate Securely load/unload products on the truck at the Buddy’s store locations that are ready to be delivered or returned to Buddy’s stores on day of established weekly route Unload product received on daily route that is coming into the Service Department Professionally and efficiently drive to stores on daily established route Safely and professionally unload merchandise into back room of store location; safely and professionally load/secure any products from store route onto truck returning to Service Center Communicate and behave in professional manner Ability to use GPS and/or maps to navigate as needed to Buddy’s store locations Handle store complaints or concerns quickly and professionally Provide support to Service Center supervisor and technicians when needed Complete daily inspections on company vehicles to ensure safe operation Complete required documentation for fueling and movement of company vehicles Assist with maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness as needed Cross training to complete minor product repairs as time permits Assist in other departmental tasks as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Florida Driver’s license
- General Physical Requirements Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50-300 lbs.
- Stooping, bending, pulling, reaching, and grabbing
- Ability to traverse steps or obstacles while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics
- Involves prolonged driving
- Ability to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- experience driving box trucks is a plus
