About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Service Desk/Network Operation Center Lead to support a Federal government customer. This individual would be the lead responsible for the Tier 1 support to a government customer. The candidate’s team is the first point of customer contact for network related operational issues. Typical Tier 1 support includes, but is not limited to, requests related to COTS hardware failures, software failures, application questions, installations, relocations, turn-ins, access rights, hardware/software loaners, network communication failures, new user requirements, temporary computer product check-outs, and other computer related requirements. This position is fully on-site M-F in the Baltimore-Metropolitan area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience. Bachelor's degree should be in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity. In lieu of a degree in one of these fields of study, an additional four years of relevant experience or specialized training may be considered.
  • At least four years of management level responsibility.
  • Clearance Requirement: Active TS and SCI eligible.
  • Certification Requirement: Active CompTIA Security+
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
  • Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments.
