Service Delivery Center, SAP Tech Arch- Integration - Senior Our objective is to provide clients with a unique business perspective on how to leverage SAP technology to improve their operations. This is rooted in EY's SAP service line capabilities (Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Tech/Arch and SuccessFactors) that are focused on helping clients improve performance and increase productivity. The Opportunity We are seeking to expand our team at the San Antonio SDC by hiring resources to establish a new integration concentration. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for expertise in traditional SAP integration, BTP Integration, and non-SAP integration technologies, including MuleSoft, Orderful, Apexanalytix, and Sterling Integrator. A top performing Senior Application Systems Engineer will have the ability to design, develop, troubleshoot and deploy integration solutions between various SAP and non-SAP systems. They will have the ability to multi-task between assignments on different engagements, and manifest strong interpersonal skills that allow for effective communications with fellow EY and client team members.

  • Support clients in selecting, implementing, and maintaining SAP technical solutions, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live assistance.
  • Demonstrate expertise in integration protocols, including API requests, XML, OData service formats, and authorization/authentication mechanisms.
  • Exhibit in-depth knowledge of integration architecture patterns and systems integration capabilities, particularly between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Transform design concepts into effective SAP solutions by contributing technical and development expertise within project teams.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to complete configurations and integrations that achieve desired functionality.
  • Apply critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills to address challenges in integration projects.
  • Adapt quickly to new knowledge and evolving technologies in the integration landscape, both within SAP and externally.
  • Collaborate within diverse teams, leveraging various skills and backgrounds to enhance project outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality client services by following best practices in the software development lifecycle, monitoring project progress, and promptly escalating issues to leadership.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and professional networks to foster ongoing collaboration and success.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Agile methodologies and application development tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Must have minimum of 3 years in a relevant field specifically working with integrations with SAP systems.
  • Experience with at least 1 SAP full lifecycle implementation
  • Design and implement SAP integration scenarios using various integration tools & platforms (e.g. SAP PI/PO, SAP CIG, SAP Integration Suite's set of capabilities: Cloud Integration, API Management, Trading Partner Management, Advanced Event Mesh, Edge Integration Cell).
  • Hands-on experience implementing interfaces with SAP solutions using various technologies like APIs (OData, SOAP), Events, ABAP Proxies, RFCs, IDOCs, Files, etc.
  • Experience developing integration architecture and strategies to ensure data consistency and integrity across systems.
  • Experience working with adapters such as OData, SOAP, AMPQ, AS2, AS4, Ariba, JMS, HTTPS, JDBC, IDOC, SFTP, Process Direct, MAIL, XI.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for integrations, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
  • Knowledge of tools for monitoring integrations and troubleshooting issues (e.g., SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Splunk).
  • Experience building B2B integration scenarios following EDI standards (e.g. ANSI X12/EDIFACT).
  • Experience with cloud integration platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with other integration tools & platforms is a plus, but not required (e.g. Mulesoft, Boomi, Informatica…)
  • Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)
  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $67,000 to $136,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $80,300 to $155,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
