As an Analyst, you will work in one of our Service Delivery Centers that is made up of high-performing US-based resources, who work closely with our experienced client serving professionals, to deliver project-based work and managed services to our US-based Financial Services clients. You will play a key role in defining and reviewing how Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate Fund advisors meet regulatory, tax, and financial statement reporting requirements, using our new, proprietary EY-developed technology platform. EY’s Accounting and Administration platform brings investment risk, transactional, and holdings data into a single platform for workflow management, transparency, and accountability. Top tier fund managers are using the EY platform to lower their reporting costs and streamline their fund accounting and fund financial reporting processes. Requirements

  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Excel, enabling the creation of comprehensive trackers and models that support data analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Capable of managing and analyzing information across a large population of funds, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling complex information.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a keen eye for precision, ensuring high volume of reporting deliverables are meticulously tracked and addressed.
  • Think creatively and outside the box, developing unique solutions to complex challenges, thereby contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • An understanding of administrative processes and ability to execute detailed procedures based on written policies and procedures.
  • Develop relationships with team members across multiple geographic locations and time zones.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • Analytical skills, especially those related to fund accounting and asset management.
  • Strong proven communication skills demonstrated through effective writing and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
  • An interest in working in an environment which encourages continuous learning, development and identification of opportunities for improvement of individual and team performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PE fund operations, fund accounting principles, and/or the asset management industry are strong differentiators.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in fund accounting operations or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of common PE fund and/or asset management industry concepts and how they relate to accounting operations.
  • Understanding of financial products and services, asset management, securities, financial technology, and/or private equity.
  • An interest in technical accounting concepts.
  • Experience overseeing the work of junior team members including coaching and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the ongoing distribution of daily production deliverables to meet and exceed our contraction service level agreements (“SLA”) with key EY clients.
  • Manage status of fund deliverables within a live production environment, tracking daily changes to support approval statuses.
  • Review and validate deliverables prior to transmission, ensuring the correct files are submitted to the correct client contacts.
  • Coordinate annual fund audits and corresponding support requests with third-party fund auditors.
  • Participate in activities needed to record data related to fund events, including fund launches, liquidations, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Review journal entries and related support documents for quarterly fund valuation entries.
  • Review the work of other team members with diverse backgrounds to ensure accuracy and completion according to regulatory reporting policies and procedures.
  • Drive high quality work products within expected timeframes and budget. Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure leadership is kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Bring strong attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking to ensure work is complete and accurate and escalate issues to leadership when appropriate.

  • The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $50,200 to $102,500.
  • The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $60,200 to $116,600.
