About The Position
As a Deli Clerk at Albertsons, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our deli department operates smoothly. You will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, and preparing a variety of deli foods, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches. Your knowledge of our deli products will help you inform customers and promote sales, creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience. You will work closely with your team to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, ensuring that all products are displayed attractively and are of the highest quality. In this position, you will operate food preparation equipment, including slicers, and will be responsible for inventory management, restocking, and maintaining the cleanliness of the deli area. You will also handle cash transactions, operate the electronic cash register, and ensure accurate change is given to customers. Your ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment will be essential as you assist customers and prepare food items. The Deli Clerk position requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service and adhering to company policies and procedures. You will be expected to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
