You Will Be The Service Ambassador: You are the face of our hot-service and cold-case offerings, providing the energy and speed that our neighbors rely on for their daily meals and Food Court visits. The Precision Technician: You are a guardian of quality and accuracy, mastering the technical operation of department checkstands and labeling systems while ensuring every guest feels welcomed. The Sanitation Guardian: You champion a "clean-as-you-go" environment, ensuring that food safety, cold-chain integrity, and dining area cleanliness are the foundational baseline of your shift.

Requirements

  • Experience: None required; we are a "Teaching Store" and will train the right attitude.
  • Age Requirement: 18+ Years Old (Required for environmental safety in the Deli department where hazardous equipment is used).
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain a valid Alaska Food Workers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Dynamic Mobility: Ability to stand for a 4–8 hour shift, lift up to 30 lbs, and navigate between the kitchen, sales floor, and public food court.
  • Heat & Chemical Exposure: Ability to work safely near hot service cases (140°F+) and handle food-grade sanitizers in a high-moisture environment.
  • Manual Dexterity & Precision: Hand-eye coordination for precision tasks such as weighing items, packaging, and high-volume POS operation.
  • Sensory Awareness: Ability to visually distinguish quality markers (color/texture) and hear equipment safety alarms or overhead pages.

Responsibilities

  • Master Service & POS: Provide proactive hospitality at the Deli counters and Food Court; operate the department POS to process guest transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Foundational Merchandising: Execute daily stocking of self-service cold cases and hot service units, ensuring all "Grab & Go" items are visually appealing and fully stocked.
  • Strict Rotation & FIFO: Perform rigorous rotation of fresh products, meticulously culling any items past their peak freshness to guarantee "Gold Standard" quality.
  • Sanitation Excellence: Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to rigorous "clean-as-you-go" protocols for all food-contact surfaces and guest dining areas.
  • Practice Wayfinding: Provide legendary hospitality by walking guests to products and acting as a local guide for our prepared food selections.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00 hourly. Starting rates vary by level, experience, and current operational needs.
  • Overtime: This is an hourly position subject to Alaska's 8-hour daily overtime laws.
