About The Position

The Service Coordinator is an exempt position within the Mission Services Division, Intellectual Disabilities Services (IDS) Ho‘olana Program, reporting to the IDS Manager, Director of IDS, or VP of Mission Services. The Service Coordinator plans, coordinates, develops, and directs curriculum, Individual Plans, supervised visits, and participant activities for Goodwill’s H&CBS Ho‘olana Waiver Program, including Adult Day Health (ADH), Community Learning Services (CLS) – group and individual, and Personal Assistance (PAB). The Service Coordinator carries out these responsibilities directly or through assigned staff to ensure effective, person-centered service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • One to two years of experience providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable traffic abstract per company guidelines.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with current registration and safety inspection.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • TB clearance required.
  • Cleared Criminal History Record and Adult/Child Protective Services Central Registry checks in compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in center-based and community settings.
  • Develops, writes, and implements Individual Plans (IPs), including support plans, goals, objectives, task analyses, coaching strategies, timelines, and data tracking tools.
  • Manages a caseload of up to 35 participants.
  • Prepares quarterly funder reports, conducts monthly file audits, completes corrective action plans, and reviews the data management system.
  • Collaborates with IDS Manager/Director to ensure plans remain current, person-centered, and compliant.
  • Coordinates and participates in planning meetings, including IP/ISP conferences and special meetings.
  • Conducts monthly supervised visits to monitor waiver service delivery.
  • Assists in supervising Senior Support Specialists and Support Specialists to ensure quality standards and participant satisfaction.
  • Provides training, documentation, and feedback to staff regarding individualized services and procedures.
  • Develops and coordinates waiver service curriculum and participant activities.
  • Maintains strong communication with participants, families, guardians, care providers, and support teams.
  • Provides direct support and personal care assistance as needed.
  • Assists with service coordination, admissions, suspensions, terminations, and participant budget management.
  • Upholds professionalism, confidentiality, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Supports facility operations, special events (including Special Olympics), staff mentoring, special projects, and leadership coverage in the absence of the IDS Manager.
