About The Position

Primarily, the Educator is the point person for families to ensure that they are receiving EI services and supports as outlined in the Rhode Island Early Intervention Certification Standards. Requirements

  • Degree, certification, and/or RI license that meets the requirements of a qualified professional consistent with the RI Early Intervention Personnel Standards.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with infants and toddlers in natural environments.
  • Current RI driver’s license.
  • Current auto insurance.
  • Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Completion of Introduction to Early Intervention course.
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid
  • Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 20lbs.
  • Required to provide own transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
  • Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
  • Continuing Education Requirements: As needed to maintain individual certification or licensure and meet RI EI Certification Standards.
