The Service Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining store operations. This position focuses on providing excellent customer service, keeping the store organized, and creating a positive shopping experience for customers. The Service Clerk is responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall cleanliness and functionality of the store.

  • Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
  • Assist customers with the loading of merchandise into shopping carts and their vehicles.
  • Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel.
  • Pull merchandise from check stands and return it to the proper shelf.
  • Walk aisles and return misplaced items to their proper location.
  • Face merchandise on aisles as needed.
  • Monitor cleanliness of store entrance and regularly clean the area.
  • Sweep, mop, and clean restrooms as needed throughout the day.
  • Ability to read and write English and interact with the general public and co-workers.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and pricing codes.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
