About The Position
First Merchants Bank is seeking a Service Associate (Teller) to join their team. This position will focus on providing high quality customer service by accurately and efficiently completing bank transactions and suggesting the products and services to meet the current and future financial needs of bank customers. The role supports individuals in exceeding personal production goals while delivering a meaningful customer experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3 months of sales, cash handling, or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
- Answer customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet the customer’s current needs.
- Continually build customer loyalty and customer advocates.
- Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
- Understand and ensure compliance, regulations and reporting.
- Follow information security policy and verification procedures to protect customer privacy.
- Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
- Sell bank products, make customer referrals and other activities to support the goals.
- Know about all bank products.
- Participate in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
