About The Position

DSG is seeking a Service Associate Project Lead in our Fargo, ND location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a Service Associate Project Lead, you will work directly with our customers and warehouse associates to provide value-add services aligned with our large-scale customer projects and our product offerings. You will execute the service needs of our customers while helping to define and drive growth of our services offerings and associated operational processes. Requirements

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to determine and develop process improvements.
  • Product and warehouse knowledge
  • Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.

  • Construction and project site experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and work closely with Warehouse Associates on product handling needs for customers including accurately pulling material from location to fill each order; pack, label and put filled order in proper location for delivery and load delivery truck as needed.
  • Attend customer project meetings to ensure product and service-related needs are accounted for and executed on.
  • Coordinate closely with internal sales team to identify value-added customer projects and opportunities.
  • Close coordination with customer to ensure timely product delivery and project-related product availability needs in line with project requirements that supports a seamless customer experience.
  • Frequent job site visits to ensure effective project-related product delivery and setup.
  • Work closely with branch and regional management to develop associated operational processes for service-as-a-solution including, but not limited to, invoicing, rates, system tracking and reporting.
  • May include team management as service-as-a-solution continues to grow within region.
  • Must be 100% certified on all gas and electrical warehouse equipment (forklift, picker, turret, etc.)
  • Operates wire measuring/cutting machine, cuts proper wire to proper length, marks tags with new wire amounts and fills racks when needed.
  • Operates pipe machine, cuts pipe to proper length and depth.
  • Sweeps and mops floors, cleans and dusts shelves, sorts and dumps trash in appropriate bins.
  • Uses computer to check on status, availability and location of product.
  • Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.
  • Notifies inventory control about shortages or overages in inventory.
  • Handle calls for warehouse when needed.
  • Assist in Receiving as workload permits.
  • Inspect trucks before delivery to ensure that they are in good working order and will pass road inspection, such as checking tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, etc.; report any vehicle problems and/or set appointments to get problems fixed.
  • Work with fellow warehouse associates frequently to communicate how product should be loaded and to learn of any problems or concerns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
