About The Position

Service Assistant Job Summary  Handles transactions for items sold in automotive store or shop. Receives payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits from customers who have had their vehicles serviced or purchased parts. cars and Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change. Greets customers, answers customer inquiries, directs and announces calls and provides directions. Operates computer, various software, fax, calculator, phone, photocopy machine, and shredding machine, etc. Prepares and maintains records by entering information on received calls and payments, where necessary. This position is responsible for keeping the keys of the vehicle that is being repaired or serviced. This position records all the payments done and has responsibility for the inventory of the parts inside the shop. Promptly, professionally, and courteously assist customers with scheduling of appointments and loaner/rental car provisions Make customers feel welcome by promptly greeting them in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner both in person and on the telephone

Requirements

  • Minimum one year prior Cashier experience required.
  • Solid telephone skills, written and verbal communication, people skills, professionalism, self-confidence, customer focus, ability to multi-task, customer service orientation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to understand, and execute complex written and verbal instructions 
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer skills 
  • Strong customer service orientation skills
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
  • High school diploma or general education degree from an accredited institution
