The Service Assistant at City Winery plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and pleasant dining experience for guests. This position involves supporting servers and bartenders by maintaining service areas, clearing tables, and providing exceptional guest hospitality.   • Provide guest hospitality by clearing, cleaning, and replenishing tables and service areas.
  • Assist waitstaff and bartenders with guest-related duties as needed.
  • Ensure polished and clean presentation of all areas.
  • Prepare dining rooms for patrons by cleaning and setting up tables, utensils, and service items.
  • Perform opening and closing duties including set-up and breakdown of the area within the allotted timeframe.
  • Support servers by replenishing service stations and maintaining cleanliness in service areas.
  • Fulfill guest dining requests and facilitate communication of requests to servers.
  • Greet guests upon seating and refill water glasses as needed.
  • Adhere to sanitation and safety policies and follow all company guidelines.
  • Perform all other reasonably assigned duties.
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • 1+ year experience as a Busser or Runner in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment preferred.
  • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to navigate tight spaces, dark rooms, and loud environments.
  • Polished presentation and ability to take direction from others.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
  • Aptitude to resolve problems and work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including standing/walking for the entirety of the shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
