Service Assistant I - Cecil Campus | Patient Escort/Housekeeping/Laundry | Full-Time - Day Shift

About the position

We are seeking a full-time Service Assistant I at our Union Hospital - Cecil campus. This position will rotate through Patient Escort (transporting patients to/from patient care and clinical service areas as directed by dispatchers or schedulers), as well as assist in housekeeping and laundry departments. The work schedule for this position is 7:00am-3:30pm and requires working every other weekend and rotating holidays. This position is working 40 hours each week.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to/from patient care and clinical service areas as directed by dispatchers or schedulers.
• Assist in housekeeping and laundry departments.

Requirements

• Two years of customer service experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and write at a high school level.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene.
• Ability to maintain a courteous, service-oriented helpful attitude throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients.
• Ability to use PDA/Smart Phones for job assignments.
