About The Position

This role involves conducting assigned work safely, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. The apprentice technician will attend and successfully complete required tasks and training classes within the apprenticeship program. Key responsibilities include maintaining a minimum set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling machine components to manufacturer’s specifications, and performing basic equipment repair functions such as maintenance, diagnostics, and part replacement with support from a designated mentor. The technician is expected to work in an assigned area under the direct guidance of a qualified technician, maintaining a neat and orderly fashion, and constantly seeking improvements in work methods, work area, and safety standards. The role also requires completing necessary documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and repair times, and submitting apprenticeship program documentation to the mentor and supervisor. A positive attitude, teamwork, and timely task completion while maintaining safety and quality are essential. Additionally, the apprentice will assist with facility maintenance, including housecleaning and following contamination control guidelines. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 6 months or less experience
  • Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.
  • Attends and successfully completes required tasks and technician training classes in the apprenticeship program.
  • Maintains a minimum set of tools as defined by the Apprenticeship Program to diagnose, disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Performs basic equipment repair functions including maintenance, diagnostics, remove and replacement of parts and major components with support from a designated mentor, as needed.
  • Works in the assigned area under the direct guidance of a qualified technician in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways of improving the methods of work, work area, and safety standards
  • Completes required documentation utilizing appropriate software to document repairs performed on equipment, and accounting for repair times. Submits Apprenticeship program documentation to mentor and supervisor as required by the program.
  • Approaches work in a positive manner and maintains conduct that is supportive of the work team. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
  • Assists with maintaining the facility by following proper contamination control guidelines, including housecleaning, and performing other general maintenance duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
