This role involves conducting assigned work safely, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. The apprentice technician will attend and successfully complete required tasks and training classes within the apprenticeship program. Key responsibilities include maintaining a minimum set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling machine components to manufacturer’s specifications, and performing basic equipment repair functions such as maintenance, diagnostics, and part replacement with support from a designated mentor. The technician is expected to work in an assigned area under the direct guidance of a qualified technician, maintaining a neat and orderly fashion, and constantly seeking improvements in work methods, work area, and safety standards. The role also requires completing necessary documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and repair times, and submitting apprenticeship program documentation to the mentor and supervisor. A positive attitude, teamwork, and timely task completion while maintaining safety and quality are essential. Additionally, the apprentice will assist with facility maintenance, including housecleaning and following contamination control guidelines.
