Position Summary: The Service Agent / Maintenance Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching maintenance service requests to ensure timely and efficient completion of work orders. This role serves as the primary communication hub between guests, residents, employees, and the maintenance team, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency. Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of dispatching, facilities coordination, or administrative experience preferred. Hospitality, resort, or property management experience a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Customer service–focused mindset. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Radio dispatch or call-center experience preferred. Expectations & Responsibilities: Work Order Coordination Receive, log, and prioritize maintenance requests via phone, radio, email, or work order systems. Dispatch maintenance technicians based on urgency, skill set, and availability. Monitor work order progress from initiation through completion. Ensure accurate documentation in the maintenance management systemCommunication & Customer Service Serve as the first point of contact for maintenance-related requests. Communicate service timelines and updates to guests, residents, and internal departments. Follow up to ensure satisfaction and closure of service requests. Escalate emergency or high-priority issues appropriately.Scheduling & Logistics Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. Assist with planning daily workloads and technician routes. Track out-of-service rooms, equipment downtime, or facility issues. Coordinate vendor access and service appointments when needed.Administrative Support Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and service records. Track parts, supplies, and inventory requests. Assist leadership with reporting metrics such as response times and completion rates.Safety & Compliance Ensure all dispatches follow safety protocols. Document incidents, hazards, or urgent repair needs. Support compliance with OSHA and property safety standards. All other duties as assigned. Essential Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting and computer use. Occasional walking of the property to coordinate service needs.
