The Service Advisor/Writer at Drive Automotive Services plays a crucial role in customer interaction and service management at our automotive repair locations. This position involves greeting customers, documenting vehicle concerns, and ensuring effective communication between customers and technicians. The Service Advisor is responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and thorough documentation of repair orders.

  • Greet customers and assist them with any inquiries they may have, either by phone or in person.
  • Perform vehicle inspection and document customer concerns to enable the technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle.
  • Document repair orders thoroughly and follow through to ticket/customer completion.
  • Proactive communication with Automobile Technician for status updates and any changes that need to be communicated with the customer.
  • Keep customers informed of completion times, service expenses, and possible changes in a timely manner.
  • Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer's vehicle.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and bi-weekly timekeeping procedures in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Follow all safety protocols by wearing applicable PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Follow all established procedures (phone scripts, documentation, ordering of parts, customer signature policy, etc.).
  • All other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computer software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and offer resolutions to customer automobile repair needs and communicate effectively with the customer.
  • Must have initiative and the ability to work in a team environment or independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle pressure.
