The Service Advisor is responsible for selling, identifying, and documenting service, maintenance, and repair services for customers, as well as scheduling the service to be performed. This role involves working closely with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance, advising customers on necessary and recommended services, and offering additional services and repairs. The advisor computes the cost of replacement parts and labor, estimates repair costs, and explains these estimates to customers. They are expected to meet dealership standards for repair and order production, maintain customer satisfaction (CSI) at or above company standards, and ensure an organized, clean, and safe work area. The position requires participation in training, accurate timekeeping, adherence to Safeguards rules, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
