About The Position

Interstate Assembly Systems in Sacramento, California is looking for an experienced Service Advisor with medium / heavy duty truck manufacturing or up-fitting experience to join our exciting industry! Pay range: $25.00 - $30.00 per Hour D.O.E Service Advisors fulfill a critical role in our operations. They are responsible for building strong customer relationships by consulting with customers regarding their service needs. Together with the technicians, Service Advisor's ascertain the cause of the issue(s) that prompted a given customer's visit, works to address and resolve those issues. Requirements

  • High School Graduate Required
  • 3 Years of Truck or Automotive Service Writing Experience Recommended

Responsibilities

  • Greet the customer and start the process of helping the customer through the repair
  • Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or visual inspection
  • Complete a 360 inspection with customer and note any preexisting damage to vehicle
  • Positive interface with technicians, foreman, parts department and customers
  • Secure payment from COD customers and written approvals from customers with terms before work has been started
  • Advise customers about necessary services needed for repair of vehicle as well as staying in constant communication with customer throughout the repair process
  • Write and present accurate estimates of repair
  • Explain the work and charges to the customer when the job is complete
  • Accurately process customer and warranty repair orders
  • Organize and prioritize workflow of shop and field technicians
  • Communicate with manager as to work progress and priority
  • Assist parts department with purchasing, work orders, etc.
  • Administrative duties as related to the role
