The Service Manager at Lakeland Chrysler Dodge Jeep is responsible for overseeing service orders and the flow of the Drive Lane, ensuring that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service. The Service Manager provides concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether by phone or in person, to ensure customers are not mishandled. Additionally, the position requires maintaining daily inventory of technicians' time sold to service customers, distributing work efficiently among technicians, and answering technical questions regarding vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs. The Service Manager is also tasked with maintaining Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards, assisting in diagnosing vehicle problems, ordering parts and tools as necessary, and overseeing the administration of warranty claims. Training and supervising service department employees, setting schedules, assigning tasks, and reinforcing company policies are also key responsibilities. The Service Manager encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations, maintains good working relationships with factories, and fosters positive employee relations while collaborating with upper management on hiring and discipline decisions.
