As a Service Advisor II, you are the face of the customer experience and a key driver of store performance. You will build relationships with customers, identify vehicle needs, and confidently recommend tires and services that improve safety, reliability, and longevity. This role requires a consultative sales mindset paired with strong technical understanding. You’ll translate complex vehicle needs into clear, easy-to-understand recommendations, close service opportunities, and ensure each customer leaves feeling cared for and confident in their purchase. Service Advisor II candidates must be comfortable advising on Retail Tires, Oil Changes, Preventative Maintenance, Medium Truck, TBR, Ag, and Basic Mechanical services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical or vocational training courses in automotive repair, tire technology, or a related field a plus
  • Willingness to pursue TIA certification with company support and assistance
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Prior experience in a customer service role, ideally within the automotive or related industries, demonstrating the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the automotive industry, including understanding of basic automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with customers and relay information between customers and technicians.
  • Strong focus on delivering high-quality customer service, with the ability to listen to customer needs, empathize with their concerns, and ensure a positive service experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and appointments efficiently, maintaining accurate records and schedules.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including POS software, appointment scheduling software, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • The ability to upsell services and products based on vehicle condition and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while driving tire and service sales through trust-based recommendations
  • Perform all duties of a Service Advisor I while mentoring and supporting best practices at the counter.
  • Partner closely with technicians to identify service opportunities and maximize repair approvals.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to uncover tire and Level II mechanical needs.
  • Capture customer concerns accurately and translate findings into value-focused recommendations.
  • Present service options clearly, including pricing, timelines, and benefits.
  • Create accurate estimates and confidently close approved work.
  • Schedule services efficiently to maximize shop productivity.
  • Communicate at a high level with both customers and technicians to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Promote preventative maintenance and additional services to protect customers’ vehicles.
  • Educate customers on tire care and service best practices to build long-term loyalty.
  • Order tires and manage inventory needs to ensure fast turnaround times.
  • Maintain product knowledge and stay current on promotions and programs.
