As a Service Account Representative, you'll build and nurture long-term client relationships across commercial markets, focusing on growing preventative maintenance agreements, service contracts, and HVAC solutions for buildings, facilities, and businesses statewide. Partner closely with service teams and technicians to identify opportunities, deliver value-driven proposals, and exceed sales goals while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and retention. Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in HVAC service sales, commercial mechanical services, facilities maintenance, or related industries; proven track record of developing and closing service agreements/contracts.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, technical/industrial field, or related preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required; HVAC industry knowledge or certifications (e.g., NATE, EPA 608) a plus.
  • Primarily office-based with frequent client site visits and travel; ability to stand/walk for site inspections, carry light materials (laptop, brochures), and drive daily within territory.
  • Strong B2B sales process management, prospecting, pipeline building, and closing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); CRM experience (Salesforce or similar) preferred.
  • Customer-focused mindset with ability to understand client needs and present value-driven solutions.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • HVAC/commercial mechanical industry knowledge; ability to learn technical aspects quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing clients while actively prospecting for new business in assigned territory/markets.
  • Identify customer needs through consultations, site visits, and ongoing communication; recommend tailored preventative maintenance agreements, service plans, repairs, retrofits, and energy-efficiency solutions.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by growing service agreement revenue from current accounts and securing new contracts.
  • Compile targeted prospect lists, qualify leads, and build a robust pipeline of future opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations, and professional proposals in collaboration with service support teams.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: from initial contact and needs assessment to negotiation, proposal delivery, contract closing, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely responses, clear communication, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Present HVAC services, products, and value propositions to clients, leveraging internal subject matter experts for technical support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, activity tracking, and account management plans in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Attend industry events, internal training, and client meetings to stay current on HVAC trends, technologies, and market opportunities.
  • Provide professional after-sales support, conduct follow-up surveys, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities to enhance client loyalty.
  • Collaborate with service operations, technicians, and leadership to ensure seamless delivery and continuous improvement.
