About The Position
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment at Tokyo Hana Japanese Restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and upholding the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. In this role, you will greet guests promptly and handle take-out orders with a smile. You will take orders and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner, while maintaining a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors. Managing tables efficiently and effectively to ensure maximum seating capacity is crucial, as is sanitizing tables, chairs, and high-touch areas after each guest. You will handle cash and credit transactions accurately, ensuring food is served at the correct temperature and according to customer preferences. Following all food safety and handling procedures is essential, as is collaborating with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and in a timely manner. You will also manage and maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, utilizing the Aloha POS system to accurately process transactions and manage orders. Demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure timely service and minimize delays is key to success in this role. You will provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns in a friendly and professional manner, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Participation in ongoing training and education to stay current with culinary trends and best practices is encouraged, as is working effectively with other restaurant staff to ensure seamless service. Finally, you will assist with closing duties, including cleaning and sanitizing the dining area and kitchen equipment.
