The Server is responsible for preparing dining areas for meals, serving food in a timely manner. This position also assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen and dining area in addition to kitchenware and equipment.
Prepare dining areas for meals; this may include setting tables with dinnerware and decoration.
Serve accurate and attractive meals in a timely manner.
Ensure proper food temperature when serving.
Communicate with and respond to customer meal requests.
Obtain meal orders.
Monitor and maintain proper levels of supplies and food items in work areas and dining rooms.
May observe and report changes in residents dining habits to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Maintain adequate cleanliness of dining services equipment and work area.
Ensure proper storage of food items according to policy.
