Prepares food for dining services at the start of the shift.
Understands the menu items and preparation methods.
Performs pre-service checklist to ensure readiness to open.
Prepares all food items in accordance with accepted industry practices and health codes.
Prepares salads, pastries, and desserts as trained.
Attends nightly touchdown meeting prior to service.
Takes all food orders at tables, ensuring accuracy.
Delivers all food items to tables.
Follows up on all comments and corrections from customers to ensure positive outcomes.
Clears all soiled items from tables and resets tables.
May deliver room service for residents.
May attend resident association and food committee meetings for feedback.
Attends all service staff meetings to address problems, concerns, or plans.
Reads all literature and memos concerning changes or other necessary information.
Adheres to departmental standard of dress.

Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to represent the Episcopal Church Home and interact effectively with vendors and service contractors.
Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Six months' food service experience preferred, but not required.

Per Diem pay rate of $17.00/hourly
