  • Prepares food for dining services at the start of the shift.
  • Understands the menu items and preparation methods.
  • Performs pre-service checklist to ensure readiness to open.
  • Prepares all food items in accordance with accepted industry practices and health codes.
  • Prepares salads, pastries, and desserts as trained.
  • Attends nightly touchdown meeting prior to service.
  • Takes all food orders at tables, ensuring accuracy.
  • Delivers all food items to tables.
  • Follows up on all comments and corrections from customers to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Clears all soiled items from tables and resets tables.
  • May deliver room service for residents.
  • May attend resident association and food committee meetings for feedback.
  • Attends all service staff meetings to address problems, concerns, or plans.
  • Reads all literature and memos concerning changes or other necessary information.
  • Adheres to departmental standard of dress.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the Episcopal Church Home and interact effectively with vendors and service contractors.
  • Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Six months' food service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Per Diem pay rate of $17.00/hourly
