Requirements

  • At least 1 year of service experience.
  • Some knowledge of wine and cocktails.
  • High school graduate, some college preferred.
  • Current CA Food Handler's Card.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic mathematical skills for order processing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Guide guests through their dining experience by introducing seasonal dishes and specialty drinks.
  • Take food and beverage orders using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Input orders into the point-of-sale system and document orders when necessary.
  • Retrieve and serve alcoholic beverages to guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas.
  • Open wine and champagne bottles for guests at the table.
  • Serve food courses and non-alcoholic beverages according to proper procedures.
  • Acknowledge and respond promptly to guests' needs.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with guests and team members.
  • Process payments and report tips at the end of each shift.
