About The Position

Margaritaville Casino & Resort Bossier City is seeking a Server to join their team. The role involves assisting guests with seating, greeting them, informing them about the buffet layout and selections, retrieving and refilling drinks, clearing plateware, providing hand wipes for guests eating shellfish, and collaborating with other servers in a team-oriented service environment. The Server is also expected to attend required training and meetings, anticipate guest needs, contribute to Standard Operating Procedures, maintain a harmonious work environment, and ensure the cleanliness of the outlet during all operating periods. Requirements

  • Sanitation Certified
  • TIPS Training
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages and apply to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems with multiple variables.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per local, state, federal, and gaming regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a casual mid-level dining/Buffet environment and/or Casino food and beverage buffet facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assists host in seating guests whenever possible.
  • Greets guests in a genuine, sincere, and personal way.
  • Informs guests of Buffet layout and selections.
  • Retrieves guests’ drinks in a quick and timely manner.
  • When necessary, removes guests’ plateware and deposits in nearest side station.
  • During course of guests’ stay, refills drinks before drink is half empty.
  • Provides hand wipes as necessary for all guests eating shellfish.
  • Assists other servers in section to provide a team/swarm service environment.
  • Attends required Quality & Training classes from HR or Training Department.
  • Anticipates our guests’ needs as well as our internal guests.
  • Attends all meetings and pre-shift meetings as scheduled by Outlet Manager.
  • Designs and modifies as necessary Standard Operating Procedures for outlet with Director approval.
  • Provides harmonious working environment while being sensitive to the needs of the employees and the guests.
  • Interacts with employees and guests in professional and consistent manner to solicit feedback on operations and execution of service delivery.
  • Completes related job duties assigned by Outlet Manager.
  • Ensures that outlet is maintained and clean during all periods of operation.
