About The Position

As a Server at Orange Hill Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering impeccable service to our guests, guiding them through their dining experience with professionalism, attentiveness, and warmth. From taking orders and serving food to providing recommendations and ensuring guest satisfaction, Servers contribute to the success of our restaurant and uphold our reputation for excellence in hospitality.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and etiquette.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, and engage with them in a friendly and professional manner throughout their meal.
  • Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials, and be able to make recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Order Taking: Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders into the point-of-sale system, and communicate special requests or modifications to the kitchen staff.
  • Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Upselling: Promote featured dishes, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales, while demonstrating a strong knowledge of menu offerings.
  • Table Maintenance: Monitor tables throughout the dining experience, clearing empty dishes, refilling beverages, and resetting tables as needed to ensure a clean and organized environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to coordinate food and beverage service and ensure seamless communication and teamwork.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Anticipate guests' needs, respond to inquiries and requests promptly, and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism and courtesy to ensure a positive dining experience.
