About The Position

Our club is seeking a friendly and experienced server to provide excellent customer service to our members and guests. The server will work closely with the Club Manager and kitchen staff to ensure that all food and beverage orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Arrives to work in uniform and ready to work on the floor by the time scheduled. Greets members and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner and maintains a warm and friendly interactive service atmosphere. Provide excellent customer service and address member/guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally Takes orders directly from guests for food and beverages and serves using proper etiquette. Servces food in the proper sequence according to etiquette and order of course. Greet guest by name whenever possible. Pre-busses, busses, and resets tables. Reports to and receives instruction from the supervisor regarding daily events, section map, daily cleaning assignments, etc. Knows regular menu and special menu items, descriptions and pricing for the day. Performs all side work and set up duties for each meal period. Assist with setup and cleanup of special events and functions Follow all club policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols Reports any complaints or problems directly to the service manager or director. Responsible for having own adequate change or bank a the beginning of each shift. Balances own sales report and assigned cash register at the beginning and end of each shift. Prepares sales envelope with daily sales at end of day, turn into reporting manager. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a in a food service or hospitality role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skill.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworkers.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests or members of the community.
  • Must display professional demeanor and communicate in professional language at all times.
  • State accredited Alcohol Training Certification is required within 30 days of employment.
  • California Food Handlers Card required upon hire.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
