About The Position

The server will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to members and guests. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips and ensuring that tables are served properly. Duties/ Responsibilities: Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating. Describes and specials of the day to the guest. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offer suggestions of menu items when appropriate. Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guest promptly after preparation. Follows-up with guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenish items as needed. Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests. Maintain organized workstations and side work duties. Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sale System. Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders. Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, and food delivery and general service techniques. Practices tray service for all food and beverage service. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the department manager. Attend staff meetings. Follows-up with guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenish items as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply basic math skills.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong task and time management abilities.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • High School or equivalent education required.
  • Alcohol Awareness Training
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift 25 to 50 lbs.
