About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, the Server provides friendly, attentive and timely service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Requirements

  • Handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Follow directions and ask for clarification if needed.
  • Work in a fast paced restaurant environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Holds current Beverage Alcohol and Servers Education and Training (BASSET) course certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience dealing with the public.
  • STANDING: Extended periods of time, up to 7 hours

  • LIFTING: Must be able to lift trays of food frequently weighing up to 25 pounds
  • STOOPING: Frequently

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.
  • Maintain a guest focus while performing duties.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shift.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality guest experience.
  • Welcome and greet guests within one minute.
  • Make guests feel special, see to guest needs.
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
  • Make specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and dessert recommendations that our guests will enjoy.
  • Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
  • Take food and beverage orders and enter orders in our point-of-sale system.
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
  • Pre-bus tables between each course.
  • Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience.
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Provide proactive beverage refills.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment and process through the POS system.
  • Return change to the guest quickly.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers before they ask.
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in the Safety Manual.
  • Other related job duties as assigned
