About The Position

Lona, which will located in the Noelle, is a dynamic modern Mexican restaurant brought to life by the creative collaboration of renowned chefs Richard Sandoval and Pablo Salas. Lona aims to redefine the Mexican dining experience by combining traditional flavors with contemporary techniques and artistic presentation.

Noelle serves as a gathering place for some of the city's most interesting voices and makers as it continues to contribute to the spirit that makes it so unique.

This individual’s expertise goes beyond understanding of the menu. It dives deeper into a passion for food, the local culture, and human connection. This person creates a welcoming, warm environment that leaves guests with not only a great meal, but a new and inspired outlook on their surroundings.

Requirements

• Ability to create relationships with guests; professional, courteous and personable
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to carry food and drink trays
• Required to stand; walk; use hands to serve and clear food, beverages, plates/cutlery/glassware, additional objects
• Able to bend and kneel to clear tables, serve food, etc.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as defined

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and assist with table arrangement (if needed)
• Present menus and respond to questions about the menus; offer specials and seasonal offering selections
• Be aware of any allergens at the table and have the knowledge to pivot
• Make recommendations and explain the concept of the restaurant and the culinary experience
• Provide high-quality service to help maintain and attract customers and promote return visits
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations; knowing if the kitchen is running out of any items, etc.
• Be highly involved in service by delivering food and beverages to tables and helping teammates when needed.
• Issue bills and accept payment as according to MakeReady guidelines
• Follow alcohol service laws; check identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to consume alcohol
• Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
• Additional duties and assignments as assigned
