About The Position

At Kingside Diner located in St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the Part-Time Server is responsible for delivering First Class Service through efficient, friendly, and attentive guest interactions. This role supports a high-volume airport environment and requires open availability Sunday through Saturday for closing shifts (12:30 PM – last flight). Servers are expected to create a positive guest experience through strong menu knowledge, timely service, and attention to detail while maintaining compliance with all company standards and procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Must have open availability Sunday–Saturday for closing shifts (12:30 PM – last flight)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Basic math, reading, and writing proficiency required
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and walking long distances

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant experience preferred
Experience handling cash and using POS systems preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver First Class Service to all guests, consistently demonstrating professionalism and hospitality
Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations to enhance the dining experience
Accurately take, input, and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
Monitor guest experience throughout service and respond promptly to additional needs
Maintain full knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and all beverage offerings (including alcohol)
Process payments and handle cash in accordance with company Cash Handling and Loss Prevention procedures
Execute point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently
Build guest loyalty through engagement and suggestive selling techniques
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area
Complete all assigned side work, including cleaning and restocking duties
Support overall restaurant operations (e.g., seating guests, answering phones, assisting team members as needed)
Address and resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
Ensure responsible alcohol service and maintain required certifications
Comply with all food safety standards and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Perform additional duties as assigned
