About The Position

The Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service. This role involves engaging with guests to create memorable moments, presenting menu items with expertise, and ensuring all aspects of the guest experience align with the elevated yet approachable atmosphere of Brickstone Brewhouse.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of high volume experience in casual or fine dining setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant or tavern.
  • Knowledge of craft beer, cocktails, and food pairings.
  • ServSafe or equivalent food handling certification.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, introduce yourself and establish a welcoming rapport.
  • Present the menu with expertise, highlighting specials, promotions, and signature items.
  • Take orders accurately, confirming any dietary restrictions or special requests.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and accuracy.
  • Check on guests regularly, anticipating their needs and addressing any concerns.
  • Process payments efficiently and handle cash or card transactions with accuracy.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Offer recommendations based on guest preferences, showcasing the best of Brickstone’s menu.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your assigned section, ensuring tables and surrounding areas are neat and inviting.
  • Perform opening and closing side duties, including stocking supplies, polishing glassware, and preparing your station for service.
  • Work closely with bussers, food runners, and other team members to ensure an efficient and cohesive service experience.
  • Communicate guest feedback or issues to management promptly to ensure quick resolution.
