About The Position

Outbound Sedona is preparing to welcome guests in May 2026, and we are building our opening team now. We are thoughtfully hiring several months in advance to allow time for training, collaboration, and creating the culture that will define our guest experience from day one. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a resort opening and help shape the standards, service style, and team culture together. Our opening team members will play a foundational role in setting expectations, supporting one another, and creating memorable experiences for our very first guests. While the resort is scheduled to open in May 2026, selected candidates may begin onboarding and training in the months leading up to opening. Specific start dates will be discussed during the interview process. The Server at Willows Restaurant is responsible for providing friendly, responsive service that creates an exceptional dining experience for every guest. Each server’s primary objective is to ensure guests enjoy such a memorable experience that they look forward to returning again and again. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality in a resort setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of serving experience, preferably in an upscale casual or resort environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand the predominant language(s) of guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 25–30 pounds.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures preferred.
  • Current Arizona Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • TIPS/Alcohol Service Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and warmly greet guests upon arrival.
  • Make guests feel comfortable and personally cared for throughout their dining experience.
  • Inform guests of daily specials, menu options, pricing, and promotions.
  • Provide thoughtful and genuine menu recommendations.
  • Answer questions regarding food, beverages, ingredients, preparation methods, and restaurant services.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and respond promptly and courteously to requests or concerns.
  • Maintain clean and organized service areas at all times.
  • Perform required side work at the beginning and end of each shift according to station assignments.
  • Prepare and present final bills in a timely manner.
  • Process credit card transactions, handle cash, and make change accurately.
  • Assist fellow servers and support bussers in clearing and resetting tables as needed.
  • Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return.
  • Maintain knowledge of resort amenities and local attractions to support guest inquiries.
  • Follow all Arizona liquor laws and company alcohol service standards.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and resort policies.
  • Be flexible and available to fill in as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
