ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Give 110% effort towards Customer Service at all times; this includes maintaining a well-kept dining room and providing hospitality with great attentiveness. Present menus appropriately and take orders from patrons for food and beverage on order slips or by memorization; add orders to computer and send to the kitchen. Understand and explain how various items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods; pay attention to requests for special dietary preferences. Periodically check on tables in designated section; take action to correct problems. Itemize and total meal costs and sales tax to prepare checks; collect payments from customers. Check identification for minimum age requirements of alcoholic beverage consumption. Remove dishes and glasses form tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Special tasks as assigned by Supervisor and Manager.
