Working in the front of the house (the dining room), the Server answers questions about the menu, takes food and drink orders, delivering the meal and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner. The Server is also responsible for the preset and continued cleanliness of the dining room and service areas.

Requirements

Previous experience in a customer service-related role
Able to do occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
Repetitive walking, bending, and squatting
Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a food service environment, preferably as a server or host
Experience working in a senior living community

Responsibilities

Ensure dining room and service area is cleaned per procedure and free of debris
Ensure ample supply of flatware is clean and placed according to expectations
Review the days menu and speak with chef/sous chefs regarding interesting information regarding foods offered
Know the residents' diets and likes and dislikes
Ensure the dishes and dish area are cleaned
Welcome and greet residents and guests
Communicate daily specials and any menu changes
Take food and beverage orders from residents and guests, and communicate their order to the chef/sous chef for preparation
Monitor resident and guest dining experience to ensure we have exceeded their expectations
