About The Position

Tropicana is seeking an energetic and service-driven Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The primary role of the Server is to effectively deliver food and beverage selections while creating a positive, engaging, and memorable guest experience. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong sense of style and service. As a Server, you will provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to guests while accurately recording and entering food and beverage orders into the MICROS/POS system. You will maintain thorough knowledge of all menus, brand selections, pricing, garnishes, and unique ingredients, and communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding wait times, daily specials, availability, and special guest needs such as allergies or dietary restrictions. You will maximize sales through suggestive selling techniques, manage cash banks and payments according to hotel policies, and ensure room charges are validated and processed correctly. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of service areas, completing opening and closing side work, following cash-handling procedures, checking guest identification, and taking reasonable steps to prevent over-service of alcohol. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who demonstrates sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
