About The Position

The Server position is responsible for performing all tasks related to food and beverage service in a courteous and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area in accordance with company standards and procedures. Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service. Interact with guests to create memorable experience Respond effectively to guest problems and complaints. Understand the importance of guest satisfaction and focus on continuous improvement. Server skills: Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations. Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communications skills. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information. Very effective organizational skills. Stress management skills Time management skills Knowledge of all liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages. Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage. Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to handle money and make correct changes. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions. Comprehension of POS system

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and guest relations and etiquette.
  • Speak and write fluently in English & Spanish.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
  • The ability to carry large, heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Self- ‐ motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multi- ‐ task and operate successfully under pressure.
  • Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have previous serving experience.
  • Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to obtain any required food handling or alcohol serving certifications required by local or state agencies.
  • Must be able to relate to all levels of Guests and management.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of table, seat, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set- ‐ up of the restaurant.

  • Must abide by the brand standards.
  • Slip resistant black shoes.
  • Must be clean- ‐ shaven at all times.
  • All employees must maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Fingernails must be cut and clean.
  • Personal appearance must be suitable for work at all times.
  • Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands when using restroom, etc.)
  • Be honest, trustworthy and respectful.
  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Be flexible in regard to schedule.
  • Demonstrate sound work ethics.
  • Requires mobility and prolonged standing.
  • Lifting and carrying up to twenty-five pounds.
  • Working at a height of four feet.
  • Use of chemicals and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
  • Normal sense of smell, touch, and sound.
  • Normal vision range.
  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, or colors.
  • The incumbent must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
  • Knowledge is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and/or ratios.
