Responsibilities
- Greet customers - Servers are often the first people to greet customers. They are friendly and professional.
- Take orders - Take accurate orders and input them into the point of sale (POS) system.
- Communicate with kitchen staff - Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are sent out as requested.
- Process payments - Process payments at the table or at the POS terminal.
- Offer beverages - Offer beverages to guests and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Maintain dining ambiance - Maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere and ensure that food and beverages are delivered in a timely manner.
- Store presentation - Maintain highest level of cleanliness in all customer facing areas of the restaurant.
