About The Position

Ensures that all members and guests are served to the Club’s standard in the dining room, bar and lounge areas. Displays the highest standards of hospitality and welcome at all times within all food and beverage areas. Takes orders for, serves food and beverages to members and guests as per the Club’s standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Knowledge of all order on arrival menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, garnishes and wine list.
• Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Positive interpersonal skills required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Two years of previous serving experience preferred
• Food Safety certification
• Responsible Beverage Certification (RBC)
• Ability to speak and hear
• Close and distance vision
• Identify and distinguish colors
• Frequent walking with some standing at times
• Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances
• Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 pounds
• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders from the members and guests and input into point of sale (POS) system without errors.
• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling member and guests needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
• Assisting with special events as needed.
• Understands and can communicate products and services available at the Club.
• Assist bussers with stocking and maintaining the Club’s par stock levels and side station.
• Other duties may be assigned.
