About The Position

As a Restaurant Server at Restaurant DeGolyer, you will provide an elevated guest experience through warm, attentive service and in-depth knowledge of our menu offerings. This role requires a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment. You will be a key part of creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring that every detail reflects the elegance and charm of our restaurant.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a server in an upscale or full-service restaurant preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and menu pairings is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and promptly, providing an exceptional first impression.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders while offering menu recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and pairings.
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, anticipating needs and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Handle all payments accurately, processing transactions through the POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including tables, side stations, and beverage stations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow and clear communication.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines in compliance with company and health department standards.
  • Support team members during peak service times by assisting with bussing, refilling drinks, and resetting tables.
  • Uphold the restaurant’s standards for professionalism, hospitality, and guest care.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
