SERVER – MAX'S TAVERN & MAX'S SWING LOUNGE, SPRINGFIELD, MA Join the Max Hospitality Team! Max's Tavern & Max's Swing Lounge, located inside the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA, is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server with open availability to join our team. Max's Swing Lounge provides a lively, indoor golf venue that serves craft beers, signature cocktails, and small plates in an energetic, fun environment. Both locations share a team that operates seamlessly to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be personable, proactive, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests, ensuring each visit is exceptional from start to finish.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a server in a fine-dining or upscale-casual environment is strongly preferred
• Experience with handling high-volume service while maintaining quality and consistency
• Knowledge of craft cocktails, beer selections, and menu pairings is a plus
• Ability to manage special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions with professionalism
• Strong familiarity with POS systems and order entry
• Experience in a team-oriented environment, willing to collaborate with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff
• Skills & Qualities: Strong communication skills with a polished and engaging demeanor
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy setting while maintaining a calm and professional attitude
• Friendly and approachable personality, with a strong commitment to providing excellent service
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy with orders and guest requests
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays throughout shifts while maintaining efficiency
• A passion for American cuisine, craft beverages, and delivering superior guest experiences

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with warmth and enthusiasm, providing a welcoming experience from the moment they arrive
• Take food and beverage orders with accuracy, offering recommendations on daily specials, beverages, and pairings
• Ensure orders are delivered timely and meet Max's Tavern & Max's Swing Lounge’s quality and presentation standards
• Manage special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies, ensuring seamless communication with the kitchen
• Engage with guests in a knowledgeable manner about the menu, providing insights into seasonal dishes and cocktails
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized dining area, ensuring a professional atmosphere
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Address any guest concerns or inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring an exceptional dining experience
• Stay updated on restaurant specials, seasonal offerings, and promotions to maximize guest satisfaction
