Requirements

  • Minimum 2- years’ serving experience in high volume, upscale full service restaurant required
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • TB Clearance required
  • Maui County Liquor Card required
  • Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification required
  • High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
  • All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA). This Position does not offer sponsorship of Work Visas. Resumes submitted that cannot fulfill these requirements will not be considered.
  • Visa Requirements: Applicants must be legally eligible to work the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset
  • Previous experience in a 4 diamond hotel environment is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Confirm station assignment
  • Complete daily opening checklist and duties assigned
  • Follow Fairmont Kea Lani sequence of service which will include but not limited to the following: welcome guests, introduce venue with approved verbiage, set table with glassware, take beverage orders, pour water/juice/coffee, take food orders, punch in order to POS, pick up or prepare drinks and deliver, set table, pick-up and delivery of food orders and maintain cleanliness of all tables and work station
  • Receive and process all transactions from guests in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
  • Actively participate in monthly departmental sales promotions
  • Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
